Failover is a utility for server administrators. With two or more equivalent servers, Failover will switch the active server between them on command.
In its current state, it is most useful for scheduled downtime. Give the "Take Over" command to the secondary server, and it takes over the duties of the primary server, allowing upgrades and other maintenance to take place on the primary server.
The program works by switching a "floating" IP address between machines. All servers also have a stable IP address for administration.
